Patrick Murphy for Ward 2: A Clear Message Above the Fold

A Clear Message Above the Fold

The homepage opens on the campaign's navy and red with the candidate's three-line message, a short biography line (38 years in Milton, 28 as a senior business leader, five as a school board trustee) and a photo with a Watch Patrick's Message play button. A red election day bar with the date and a How to Vote link sits directly under the hero on every page.

  • Three-line slogan as the H1, with the ward in the eyebrow
  • What Will Patrick Do? and Who Is Patrick? as the two calls to action
  • Candidate video embedded on the page, no third-party player
Patrick Murphy for Ward 2: The Platform, Organized to Be Read

The Platform, Organized to Be Read

The platform page lays out nine commitments as numbered cards, each with a one-line summary and two to four specific points, with a sticky On This Page index on desktop. The five headline commitments on the homepage link straight to their anchors, so a voter can go from the summary to the detail in one tap.

  • Nine numbered commitment cards with anchor links
  • On-page index for jumping between sections
  • Short, specific points instead of long paragraphs
Patrick Murphy for Ward 2: Ward Map, Biography and Principles

Ward Map, Biography and Principles

A Leaflet map, using OpenStreetMap tiles and the Town of Milton's open-data boundary, shows exactly where Ward 2 is. Beside it the biography section gives the candidate's experience as a list and three figures, and a navy band below sets out four guiding principles in two columns.

  • Interactive map with the ward boundary drawn from open data
  • Experience as scannable points and three headline figures
  • Four guiding principles, each a heading and one sentence
Patrick Murphy for Ward 2: How to Vote and Lawn Signs

How to Vote and Lawn Signs

The How to Vote page walks through four steps, confirming the ward, checking the voters list, bringing identification and voting on election day, and points to the Town of Milton for official locations and advance dates. A Request a Lawn Sign section lets supporters ask for a free sign.

  • Four numbered steps with plain-language explanations
  • Official election information box linking to the Town
  • Lawn sign request with a photo of the real sign
Patrick Murphy for Ward 2 on a phone

Built for Mobile

On a phone the candidate's name, ward and three-line message fill the first screen, with What Will Patrick Do? and Who Is Patrick? as the two buttons before the photo, so a voter who types in the address from a lawn sign or taps a social link gets the pitch immediately.
